Depending on design and customer request, these items can be produced using the following methods: Die-struck: This method is used where top quality is required. Images stand out in relief on gilding metal which is then highly polished and gold plated. The relief is then colour filled and a doming finish is applied to create a 3D effect to the image. A frosted effect can also be included. Other proprietary plating and production techniques using various metals are available to custom finish your design. We also offer Gold and Silver for superior quality. Contact us for details Coining : Used mainly for medals and items where the metal is struck on both sides. As this method requires a top quality die and plating process (if used) quantity orders are needed to be make this method cost effective. For smaller quantities where the very best is desired we recommend Gold or Silver. Chemical Engraving : This method is used when very fine detail is required and small quantity does not justify the cost of a die. Additional finishing as used on the die-struck method can be applied. Spin Casting : We use this method primarily for large items such as belt buckles. For budget items where cost is important, this method is suitable. Metal Pressing : Some designs of key rings, bottle and letter openers, metal tags etc. are more economically formed on an eccentric press. A final buffing and if necessary a plating process assures a final finish to please the most discerning customer.
